Each year I make tons of gravy. And each year I have some left over. 2 days after thanksgiving is soup day and we like to use everything including the gravy. Here's what we do:
Put 3 cups of stock in a soup pot. Add leftover vegetables and add dehydrated or canned veggies. What ever you have on hand. Green beans, cabbage, corn, onions, celery and carrots are great. I use dehydrated cabbage for this.
Bring to a boil and add your pasta. I used orzo this year because it's easier to eat than big egg noodles, but you use what you like. After 9 mins, bring down to super low heat and add shredded turkey and 2 cups of gravy, stir, add salt and pepper to taste and let summer for an hour. Enjoy!
The gravy adds a lovely taste and thickens it nicely.
